What is Mediation?

Mediation involves families in conflict working out arrangements for themselves and their children with the help of neutral and skilled mediators. The aim of mediation is to reach an agreement which is mutually acceptable to the parties within the broad range of that which a court would be likely to approve.

Information: Elmarie Neilson is an attorney specialising in family law and mediation. Her practice covers the areas of Blouberg, Table View, Milnerton and Melkbosstrand. She successfully completed the Judicial Training Course in 2006. She served as an acting magistrate on a pro bono basis in the Divorce Court in Cape Town. She is involved in Christian counselling.
