What is Mediation?

Mediation involves families in conflict working out arrangements for themselves and their children with the help of neutral and skilled mediators. The aim of mediation is to reach an agreement which is mutually acceptable to the parties within the broad range of that which a court would be likely to approve.

Information: Juana Horn is a clinical psychologist. Having qualified at Wits University in 1984, she has extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children, adolescents and adults. She also works in the area of forensic psychology, especially contact and care assessments. She is a FAMAC-accredited mediator, and a facilitator.
